Nice replacement, best hardware included

Got this to replace the stock fuel pump drive module as I am having car aging issues and thought it would solve my problem on my 11- Solve Summer F-150. It didn't fix my problem, I didn't have severe rust or rather surface corrosion if that was on the stock FPDM and surrounding metals in the undercarriage area. My problem was a simple relay that had failed. Started the car straight away after installing it and I think I noticed a little quicker start up response. Stable hardware included for…

  • Great for a small home

A simple solution to a stupid problem

This module is very easy to install. This fixed my 2005 Ford Escape not turning on. Ford's implementation of this module on the 2005 Ford Escape was probably an afterthought, if not just stupid. The module sits on the chassis and rusts very quickly. Mine had fallen out of the chassis due to rust and was dangling all over the place just trying to hold the connector socket in place. This broke the connection and the car stalled and then wouldn't start. It wasn't until I paid the mechanic that I…

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • A few bugs

My 2007 F150 suddenly stalled while driving and would not start. I had to leave it at the curb for the night. It starts but stops immediately. Unfortunately I didn't have the money to tow it, so I left it overnight and then towed it home behind my dad's Chevy. Read some stuff online and saw the fuel pump driver is rusty and not working. This part came in 3 days, we hooked it up and it worked great. Car started immediately after 3 days of idle time. If you have 2004-2008 f150 get this part. We…

Before installing, test on Escape!

According to the Dorman and Revain website, this corresponds to the 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid. module (aluminum). However, the symptoms (reverse revs, occasional stumble when accelerating) led me to believe it was a possible fuel pressure issue that was easier and cheaper to fix than the fuel pump. All other more obvious parts (mass air flow sensors, oxygen sensors, coils, throttle body, fuel pressure sensor) have already been replaced. I made the mistake of removing the old module and then…

It should slowly lower like any other hand winch

This was an instant fix for my 2006 F-150 which was not working properly. You could say he wanted to take off but got no fuel. If you buy an OBD port scanner I believe it shows up as p1091 and in the code book it's described as a CKT/Performance fuel rail pressure sensor. At first I thought it was the sensor under the hood, but it turned out to be just above the spare tire next to the rear axle. The spare tire removal (or lowering) tool is located behind the passenger seat in the truck and is…

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

My dad's trusty 2006 Ford Expedition started to shake a little but then seemed to disappear. I'm a backyard mechanic handling oil changes and such. I had already changed the spark plugs at 100,000 miles (on a hot engine, impact wrench method which works great btw) so I knew it wasn't the spark plugs. Maybe it was the coils, now at 126k I think it would be wise to replace them now. But after a couple of days it stalled while driving and towed it to my house with its AAA card. Replacing the fuel…
