Works great on my Avalon XLS -- V6 -- 3.0L 2995cc Type 1MZFE -- MFI GAS DOHC

Dorman 917-214 The variable valve timing solenoid is routed to the rear bulkhead (right). This is for cylinders 1,3,5. Corrects Bank 1 Code P1349.Dorman 917-211 Variable Valve Timing Solenoid for Cylinders 2,4,6. Bank 2, left (front) side of engine closest to radiator. Corrects code P1354. These problems usually appear on cold winter days. Hard work when fully warmed up.

Just what I needed to fix the flashing check engine light on my 2001 Sienna.

I had OBD II codes P1354 - variable valve timing error, P0300 - random misfires, P0302 - 2nd cylinder misfires, P0304 - 4th cylinder misfires, P0206 - 6th cylinder misfiring. Just replace this part; It was the closest thing to the engine—a 10-minute job. I could try cleaning the existing solenoid valve but figured a new one would be the best solution as the other valve had about 140k miles on it. I've driven 1000 km since the change, no problems. I expect to have to replace another valve with a

Not a perfect fit, but a little adjustment and it's great.

Toyota Avalon 2001 I'm torn. In fact, it didn't fit. The bolt flange protrudes too far to be fully inserted. Decided to lean back cautiously. Everything went well, now the part is installed and installed correctly. The rest of the fit was perfect and the other solenoid for bank 1 was perfect. So this product: Perfect fit? no Overall I'm very happy with the price and the slight flex in the bolt flange with my Gerber tool, being careful not to strain the plunger assembly or plug with my other…

Works well so far for spares

Installed a few days ago and works well so far. Check to see if the engine light is no longer illuminated with an error code. It took 10 minutes to install. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the included clamp screw broke easily without meeting the correct torque specs. Luckily I was able to remove the broken screw and reuse the original screw. For those with old electrical connectors that are becoming brittle, there is a chance you will break the clip that secures the connector

Great solution: Fuel system

Got code P1354 on my friend's 1999 Lexus ES 300. A very rough idle, uneven brake pressure and jerky gear changes were all symptoms. Thanks to many reviews here as well as some YouTube videos, I realized this is exactly the part I need. Installation took about 15 minutes and the hardest part was disconnecting the oily electrical connection from the existing solenoid. We decided to just rip it apart to make it easier to detach. We oiled the new solenoid's o-ring and it snapped straight into…

Fixed my engine problems!

Fixed my 2001 Toyota Highlander Limited (3.0L 6cyl VVT). After about 230,000 miles and a few years of intermittent use, I was getting engine/transmission vibration at stop lights, intermittent rough idle while warming up, judder/downshifts at highway speeds, and lots of engine misfire codes. This part replaces the front VVT oil control valve located near the throttle body on the front cylinder head. You may need to disconnect the coolant line to be able to replace it. Lubricate the O-ring…

Excellent results, I got P1349 on my 2000 Toyota Avalon from a professional code reader a few weeks ago, before that I just didn't get any trigger codes from all connectors, after figuring out where this part is, I removed the old one, cleaned it and put it back in place, same code and problems returned. Called the dealer, they wanted $149.99 for this part alone, called my local autozone, they said $80.00, looked at the Revain, $41 and switched, the choice was made! Revain with 2 day shipping…

My Check Engine Light came on with trouble code: P1354 (Bank 2 OCV Malfunction), P0768 (Transmission Solenoid), and Random Misfire Codes for 2, 4, and 6 (P0300, P0320,.). On a cold day the car runs fine at first until the engine warms up, then it jerks at idle, the engine stalls, the gearbox slips, and sometimes it is difficult to upshift, the car shakes even while driving, I can feel the whole car. will be dead. Check the Lexus blog for code P1354 and bought this 917-211 (for bank 2, left side
