So far, so good. for pumps

You are under the vehicle in an environment with road dirt and leaking engine parts, so they often fail. Apparently it looks just like the original at a similar price.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Approximately

The product is good, more tape is needed for packaging

Fortunately, the product seems intact. The box was not sealed or sealed. Again, the product looks ok. It's electrical, so the mechanical condition isn't clear yet.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Out of style

Dorman Power Steering Pump Perfect Fit 979-750

This Dorman power steering pump is perfect! Was rated very well. Tightened immediately, only 2 screws. Turn on and off 10 minutes after the front end is lifted. I found my old one to be bad because the parking sensors are on the same fuse as the fan. 2006 Min. Cooper S

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Old

Fits and works perfectly

Easy to install. Fits like original. The reason I replaced the original was because it made a whining noise. The design of the fan puts it in direct contact with road dirt, moisture and dirt and in my case after 13 years the bearings and/or seals in the original fan's electric motor had worn out (probably causing the whistling noise). Replacing the Dorman fan fixed the issue. Installation only took about 15 minutes. You have to jack up the car or put it on a ramp and it's easy to access fromโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Nothing

Works great, fits great and is cheap.

I had this horrible noise I've been looking for months. At first it sounded like the pump was struggling and was very weak but noticeable. Then it sounded more like a screech (so I thought it was a pulley so I replaced the idler pulleys and compressor pulley) then it got louder and went from high to low and finally back up and very loud. . Loud enough to finally hear where it's coming from, and it was that fan. I installed this fan on my 2006 Mini Cooper S and it spins great. The noise is goneโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • A long time ago

Super easy install, quick fix

2 nuts and 1 plug...removed and reinstalled on my 2003 MINI Cooper S in 10 minutes. It literally took longer to lift the car than it did to fix. I should note that I installed a Hotchkis TVS Stage 2 lowering kit which lowered my car about 1 inch below stock so it's a bit difficult to boot it up. I am the original owner of the vehicle and this is my second power steering fan assembly (PSF) replacement. This is a known design issue with the cooling of the Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS)โ€ฆ
