I've tried using this with a camera that takes about 15 watts to run and the unit shuts down. I bought three of these and they all behaved the same. I find this unit overpriced as others I have bought which promise about 2A and don't deliver.

Perfect for my Trak-4 GPS tracker. Simply plugs into the block connector (converter) and the wires connect directly to the battery. Bought to replace a similar converter that was corroded. I attach the connectors and secure them under the battery cover at the top.

Works well, wire length is sufficient. Above all, demands on the power cable. First, the red and black power cables are tiny and extremely thin, with a thick black outer sheath surrounding them. This proves tricky when stripping without damaging the tiny red and black wires. Also, the wires are so small that crimping connectors is a problem.

Well I have a Nexus 6 that can charge up to 2.1A and this charger only charges it at 1.2A. I'm not sure if it's not compatible but next week i will get a nexus 6p and test it with this phone and see if it can give me my 3 amps as i know it will be compatible with that. If you need a manual then this product is most likely not for you and you should use a USB plug and play charger.

Product works great. I wrapped the ground wire around the stud holding the fuse box and connected the power wire to the heated seat 5v fuse. I then hid the device under the carpet and ran the iPhone lightning cable there to charge my phone in the car pocket. It's been working for about 6 months and I haven't had any problems. Ordered this product to connect to the car fuse box for a hidden power supply so no wires are visible. Great product and I received it quickly. The build quality is really good. I used a plug in fuse and it works perfectly. People have complained about getting the right amount of amps from it, but I think they might just have wired it wrong because I'm using it with a Qi charger in the car. I use a magnetic phone holder and wanted to turn it on without having to use the power adapter to keep the tray open all the time. I connected this to "add circuit" (http://amzn.to/1YYPzts) and hidden it under the dashboard. Then I can charge my phone with a standard cable regardless of brand/model as long as it can be charged through a regular USB port. The 12V to 5V converter is built into the end of the plug, it's not very big and nicely built. Very happy with the results.

Works well. However, it is a challenge to connect the long wires to a regular 12V cable. The wires provided are too small for crimp connectors so you will most likely need to solder. And the solder joint between wires subjected to movement will likely fail at some point. Come on, sellers - raise the price by pennies and use a decent wire.
