High-performance Edelbrock 3702 Performer-Plus Camshaft and Lifter Kit Review

According to my experience, this automotive part did not live up to its advertised potential. The installation process was a hassle and required extra modifications to make it fit properly. While there was a slight improvement in horsepower, it was not worth the price and effort. The only pro was a slightly increased horsepower. The cons include the need for modifications and the overall disappointing performance. I would not recommend this product to fellow performance car enthusiasts.

This cam was used in my 1994 Chevrolet C2500 5.7 350 with TBI. This is the cam that should be installed ex works! Excellent handling and torque! I also used an Edelbrock #3704 header and made my own cam profile chip along with other upgrades, but that cam and upgraded exhaust system made the biggest difference.

I ordered a camshaft kit and installed it per the manufacturer's instructions, broke the camshaft as per the instructions and wasn't very happy to see such new tappets falling apart . Now I have to disassemble it again to see if the cam is ok and replace it with a new lifter. The car only has a 20 minute break-in period and 1 mile on it. I hope the camera is still ok, I don't know if Edelbrock makes their own elevators or not and I know it can happen, but what a disappointment.
