I put this on a 3 wheeled bike(2 wheels in front and one in back) and I didn't attach the PAS(pedal assist system). I have this battery (Orihat E-Bike Lithium Ion Battery with USB Port Electric Bike Battery Conversion Kit (36V12A) powering it.It is very, very weak at best. This motor exceeded my expectations. There are some big caveats in my recommendation here. This motor is smooth and quiet and can get you over the hills in great form with very little help from the rider. I mounted this kit on a homemade crank forward bike I built a while back and am using a 36v battery made up of 3 12a.h. S.l.a. Batteries. Has very poor instructions although it's a pretty straight forward install. The PAS system is jerky and dangerous in stop and go traffic, had to disconnect and use twist throttle, seems to work fine on open road. Requires a 48 mm valve steam but comes with a tube that has a standard steam. On positive side seems to have plenty of power and speed, although I do ride on flat land, not sure how it would perform on hills.

A well priced 500w rear e-bike kit. I'd recommend a "triangle" bike bag to hide the wires, controller, and battery. It might be smart for them to provide instructions via PDF to allow for folks to zoom in a bit but its a pretty simple install after watching a few youtube videos on other e-bike kit installs. I bought this upgrade kit for my daughter ebike. She had a 300W brushless motor and I decided to increase power since we live in an area where hills are pretty steep to get to her school. I've had this install for about two months and so far it has been great! When the battery is fully, it can go 25-27 MPH with my 36V 10AH battery. There are two speed modes, at least if you don't connect the pedaling sensor like me. The fast mode is really quick, but it drains the battery pretty quickly. its a square wave controller which makes the motor much noisier than a sine wave controller. great value and lots of power. the controller is more like a 750 watt so youll need a battery pack that can output at 20 amps if you're going to use it without the speed limiter. i had to get a bigger battery because this controller/motor is very power hungry and kept tripping the battery bms by drawing so many amps when accelerating at full throttle. strong rim and well built but didn't come with a rim

Whell came damaged in multiple areas, packaging was crap and the packing foam inside was all destroyed, instructions were almost completely useless, but what do you expect from a budget noname Chinese brand, price was great and it will work and that's what it comes down to it the end of the day. Would probably invest a bit more to get a quality respected brand because this probably won't last too long.

Replaced my previous motor which had a better pedal assist system, this one just had one speed for it so if you are pedaling it goes super fast so you are just spinning the pedals and not actually pedaling. Had to make some mods to fit my bike, how ever, once dine it works great. I have yet used the battery all the way. I have ridden 36 miles on a trail No problems at all. Good value.

I've put over 1,000mi on this kit now. I taped a little piece of clear plastic over the handlebar display and duct taped the controller to the frame and wrapped it in tape to keep it dry. I do bike deliveries in All weather and it's performed without a single problem. There are certainly better kits out there, but they cost more. For the money, this one is great.
