Good quality solder extractor, worked very well

Good quality and worked very well. It was a little smaller than I expected, but I liked it better than my clunky old radio that this one replaced. The suction was good and it cleaned the solder from contact to contact with no fuss. I haven't had any problems with constipation. If possible, keep the iron at or below 350Β°C to protect the silicone tip. As others have said, the silicone tubing should be no longer than the distance the solder cleaning rod will come out of the tip when the plunger is

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Some cons

Best hand soldering suction cup I've ever tried

I bought this a few months ago and have used it a number of times to clean vias and remove soldered components. Works surprisingly well, especially compared to regular and cheap blue aluminum models or cheap hand-trigger desoldering irons (I have both other types). They work, but small cheap ones wear out (the plastic tips get chewed up and over time the plastic filaments wear out and it doesn't produce a good vacuum), and cheap soldering irons aren't temperature controlled and can burn through

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not the best

Works great but can clog

The tool works! It feels solid and is great for casual use. The compact size takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, you're good to go. I have used it to clean various holes from standard 0.1 inch holes, 0.2mm pitch holes and through holes for Type A USB connector. The silicone tip seems to help create a good seal and clean out holes. Two problems found: 1) The solder gets stuck in the silicone tube. To do this, you have to remove it, clean it with tweezers and put it…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I relax, I like it!

I like it, I really like it. I like the non-fusible tip and metal body which gives it a premium feel. I'm used to using a plastic solder cup that clogs and often needs new tips. This solder sucker has many advantages and I think they are close to making something great but unfortunately they didn't. It doesn't generate enough suction for me. I can clean it and stretch the spring and it will work for a while, but soon it will be ineffective again. I tried it for 6 months and sadly found that it…

Pros
  • Withstands direct contact with a soldering iron (max. 350C)
Cons
  • thin

Suggestions for improvement

The fit and finish of this tool is much better than a standard cheap solder sucker. The spring is quite strong and generates a good "thrust". As already mentioned, the main disadvantage is the tendency to clog. With a few simple measures, however, the probability of clogging can be reduced to almost zero. First cut the silicone tube short enough. When the plunger is pushed all the way down, the cleaning probe should reach the end of the tube. The pipe doesn't have to be longer. This allows…

Pros
  • Innovative silicone tip allows it to be positioned closer to the tip of the soldering iron (therefore better suction and solder removal)
Cons
  • So far so good

One of the best solder cups - well not exactly

I recommend trying a few different cups before making a decision. Buy different models and find out which one works best for you. The advantage of this is that the tip is made of soft silicone. You press it onto the top of the iron tip and it fits and fits snugly onto the circuit board. If you can pay one of the bucks for 3 bucks then go get it. This is one of the most expensive models. In my opinion it was worth it. Edit: I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. It's made of quality

Pros
  • Quality construction and used components
Cons
  • old
