Good scanner software needs an update

thin paper without resorting to carrier sheets. It even does a surprisingly good job of scanning high-quality color photos. For archiving bills or whatever, with the low resolution setting it absolutely tears through piles of documents. Very fast! While the included Document Capture Pro software is a huge improvement over Windows 10's default scanning program, it feels pretty clunky and dated, especially the interface. Many of the settings that I use often are hidden behind several menu levels.

Pros
  • Industry leading service and support - 3 year limited warranty with advanced replacement including free next business day shipping (5)
Cons
  • Minor issues

Scanners and accessories WORKHORSE

Great little scanner that doesn't take up much space on my desk. Use it to organize years of tax and personal paperwork for mom and me. Yawning. Then I thought how about organizing all your crafting chips, chips, DSPs. Oh, am I brilliant or what? Right now I'm thinking about how to organize my creative content so I can quickly scan all my stuff and access it on any device via Evernote. I have 2 very tall baker's shelves full of old files that I can scan as well. O happy day! My paper shredder…

Pros
  • Superior performance and productivity – Blank page removal, auto-rotate, auto-crop, dynamic deskew, dirt detection, double-feed detection and paper protection
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

Very happy with this purchase

There were definitely some rough edges installing and setting up this scanner. At the moment I got it working wirelessly from two of my three computers (one Windows, one Mac), but I was only able to get it working from a third (another Mac) with a USB cable - not a big deal, though a little annoying. But once installed, this thing was amazing. The default settings resulted in poor quality scans, but after increasing the DPI and a few other things, the scans became excellent. They are also very…

Cumbersome software, poor quality scanner

I've had I've had a Fujitsu ScanSnap IX500 for several years. I had to upgrade to a scanner with a TWAIN driver. I thought it would work. I immediately noticed the difference. Epson is in no way inferior to the ScanSnap. The only benefit might have been speed. However, the software is so poor and cumbersome and the functionality is so minimal that speed is not seen as a real benefit. I have decided to return this product and look at something else. . Maybe I just gotta do it Got it. I am very…

Good scanner with some flaws

Overall this is a great scanner. I work in an office where we have 6 Epson document scanners. The first version of the scanner I bought was the DS-560. They are AMAZING little scanners, easy to use and the software is packed with features. This DS-575 strikes me as a bit more disappointing than the 560. The moving parts of the scanner don't move smoothly. They get stuck and are very difficult to open, close and adjust; You have to somehow move the pieces around. I thought it might be an issue…
