I got this sketchbook because I have so many artist friends who have always been amazed by the quality of Etchr sketchbooks. I've recently started using Arches heat press paper and have never tried a heat press pad before. The paper is very nice and smooth. Watercolor on paper looks amazing. Will definitely buy these sketchbooks in the future!

I finally got my hands on the ETCHR sketchbook and it's beautiful. I have the CP size 8.3 x 11.7 inches, it's a 100% cotton rag with non animal sizes and it's better than the Mole watercolor album I bought for the same price. This is one of the few 100% cotton watercolors I've found and the best I've found yet. I love that you can draw on both sides of the paper. The paper is thick and durable. 100% cotton notebooks/journals are hard to find but I like these as a mixed journal. I don't think I really want to paint in it because the colors don't flow over the surface like Arches or Fabriano Artistico. They tend to stay where you put them. Some people like this quality, but I often like to put a drop on a wet area and let it do what it wants. However, it works well for large washes, especially gradients. I really like this paper. I can paint wet-on-wet with watercolors, and paper is great for that. It also works well with gouache. The only problem is that the binding is broken (pictured) and I've only used 2 pages so far and only done it once. View of a tear in the binding.
