It is ideal for areas with heavy boat traffic.

It held my fully loaded 19ft Stratus with 150hp engine. in a busy lake all weekend. It also protects you from getting wet when trying to get on the boat.

Pros
  • Eliminates the need to swim to and from your anchored boat while keeping you dry.
Cons
  • Upgrades

Misleading "Best in Truck " addendum Body and trunk accessories

The addendum is very misleading. The ad sells a short bungee ranging from 7 to 22 feet, but if you look at the ad, it definitely mentions 14 to 50 feet, and it's even in bold. If you are looking for a long bungee then buy this one.

Pros
  • 14' to 50' wear
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Buy if you want LOOSE ANCHOR

I bought two of these. The first fell off the hook which resulted in me losing my anchor chain and anchoring it to the bottom of the lake the first time. I used a second bungee with a different anchor. When I pulled the second bungee out of the lake, it almost collapsed too. The old adage "you get what you pay for" is true. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS!

Pros
  • 2500 pounds. Tensile Strength
Cons
  • Protection

Really solves the problem. Works as described.

Works exactly as described. Have him anchor some distance from shore then bungee jump and tie down (we used a tree but you could use another anchor or something) then he grabbed the boat near the beach. This kept our boat off the shingle shore and allowed the boat to follow the approaching wake without hitting the shore. Slightly retracted when ready to land, disengaged and off we went.

Pros
  • Fit: Universal fit
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Dangerous in shipping, spliced incorrectly

I've read some other reviews complaining about eyelets on the ends coming loose and losing anchors, but ordered anyway as my preferred brand (Anchor Buddy) was not available. When it arrived I took a closer look and the problem was clear: the eyes on both ends weren't properly connected. They are formed by simply taking the end of the fishing line and inserting it back into the middle, creating a loop. Whilst this is part of how you can splice such a line, you will need additional protection to

Pros
  • Protecting boat from dangerous shore
Cons
  • Reliability
