Good product double check your faucet

works great easy to install. It has a 1" thread while most hoses have 3/4" threads so I had to buy fittings from the hardware store. The tap was fully open (screwed fully "on" or "into" the filter) when you received it, so make sure you lower this thing all the way down before you start the pump.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • hard to tell

Nicely tangled filter bag

Good quality product. The snorkeling confusion with this product is frustrating. The box and picture show a 6 inch nipple and elbow. After having to go to the tube fitting hardware store and install the product, I found another 2 inch nipple hidden under all the packaging. They should offer three options with this product: no fittings in the kit, or a 45 elbow with two short and one long nipple kits, or a 45 kit with two 90 and three nipples.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Empty

Great filter kit: Filter

I changed the piping on the tank farm so I also replaced the filter system piping. Great filter set. Connected to a 15 GPM Fill-Rite pump system with no noticeable loss of volume. I use this for my low volume diesel but use another cheaper brand called Golden Rod - no room in my unleaded tank - if there is a problem between the two I haven't seen it in 20 years of use except me would rather lose a 5-10k crate engine than a 40+k tractor/agricultural engine if the gold engine fails. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ™‚ Hopeโ€ฆ

A breeze to install.

I had no problems installing mine - of course I didn't do it like everyone who has complained about it with a straight pipe and then an elbow. I got out of the pump with my elbow and used a straight line to free myself from the pump etc. Since my tank and pump are designed to fit around and under my pull out blanket, vertical movement would be an issue for me me. Even in the directions there is a big asterisk ** indicating a "possible" configuration. You must NOT do it like this. Worked greatโ€ฆ

Big disappointment!

I chose this filter over goldenrod because I liked that the bowl was clear plastic instead of yellow. When I opened the box and took out the filter, I noticed that the shell was milky yellow rather than clear. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the words "water block" were scrawled in black pen on the inside of the filter. Not sure if that's how it came from Fill Rite (because the box was factory sealed) or if someone else had it before me. I sent it back to Revain and bought a Fill Rite canโ€ฆ

Pros

Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Works great, a few tips.

Mine had a black top, not a red one, but that doesn't matter. It has a 1 inch inlet and outlet. So if you want to use it with a pump and 3/4" hose, just get the fittings. I've used one of these for 2 years on a 3/4" pump with diesel with no problems. I like that it's crisp so I have a visual reminder to change the filter when the bowl and filter start, "Rough" looking. Also, when I change the filter, I clean the bowl well with a degreaser to get rid of the fuel discoloration and it looks likeโ€ฆ

Am I missing something?

I purchased a Fill-Rite 1200KTG9075 filter kit for my 1200 pump. Following the instructions in the kit causes the filter to make contact with the pump housing. I've seen other reviewers debate the need for extra parts and now I understand what they wrote about. I think I could get it working with the filter and filter head sticking out the front or back of the pump, but that wouldn't look right, would it? For me, the idea behind buying a kit from Fill-Rite was to get the parts I needed withoutโ€ฆ

Quality parts made in the USA! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Filter kit really good value for money. The packaging says Made in USA, as does the filter itself. Installation is easy. The long piece of pipe included in the kit was too long for my application. I didn't want my filter hanging 10 inches from the pump. This creates a lot of leverage and I see the cast pump being accidentally damaged by so much leverage so I used a short length of pipe I had laying around to get it closer. If I had to go to the store I would buy it for about twice as long, butโ€ฆ
