Handy for cassettes, cranks, jockeys and hard-to-reach spots

Very nice to use. Well thought out and cheap enough that after good use I don't regret having to sell it. Granted, they seem to loosen dirt and grime much better than they remove, as they tend to saturate very quickly. If you use this and then flush the transmission afterwards, it instantly becomes incredibly clean. Combined with the ease of use, it's hard to argue with having a few boxes of these products on hand. The best cleansers are the ones that are so easy to use that you use them moreโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Gear Floss Microfiber attracts, removes and holds dirt. Other materials just move it. Microfiber traps dirt, grease and particles in its star-shaped grooves and removes dirt better than any other material.

It's just fun Best in Sports

Absolutely no need. But it's fun and it works. I've used about 4 strands and they do a great job of removing dirt from your chain and cassette, but they wear out and get tangled in your teeth all the time. Of course there is a learning curve, but come on. bike thread. It's just fun. If you are looking for practicality I would just use a piping brush or set of wire brushes. They can be reused and are more environmentally friendly. Note: They are great replacements for third party tools as theyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use! Place dental floss between the gears. Slide back and forth. Slide them into other hard-to-reach places such as sprockets, hubs and spindles, brake levers, bottom bracket/crank linkage, etc.

Convenient, works well, reliable, easy to use cassette thread.

Practical and inexpensive device for cleaning a bicycle cassette (gear wheel). Designed to remove grit from between gears and at the ends of gears. It's not for very hard dirt, as a mountain bike can get into the dirt where you'll probably want to pre-rinse first. I don't like using it dry as it tends to stick too easily. Spray some WD40 on your floss and you'll find that it cleans better, grips the floss better, and makes it glide better between gears too. With the cartridge stationary, I move

Pros
  • The perfect tool for detailing! Ideal for cleaning rear cassettes, front sprockets, derailleur pulleys, hubs and spindles, brake levers, crank bottom bracket/interface and more.
Cons
  • Modernity
