Do not buy from Flashforge

My first 3D printer was a Flash Forge Finder and I loved it, it had a few mechanical issues but Flash Forge tech support was fantastic and resolved these issues within 48 hours hours fixed. It's been 4 years and there hasn't been a single problem so when I was ready to upgrade my machine I decided to buy the Guider 2 which I bought directly from Flash Forge. Boy has everything changed. The car was unusable when I received it. The bed leveling is terrible and you have to level the bed beforeโ€ฆ

Arrived poorly calibrated (X-axis belt)

This item came with a poorly calibrated X-axis belt that was so poorly adjusted that when it was initially set up the extruder assembly was just trying to return home. This is my second Flashforge printer, the second being the Finder (which I had no problems with and arrived perfectly calibrated). The problem with not being calibrated is that it weighs over 85 pounds. So. Before you unpack it, take it up the stairs and spend time setting it up, take a look at the belts that drive the extruderโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Inexpensive, easy to use, reliable machine

I print large protopasta carbon fiber prints all the time with this machine running almost non stop 6 days a week with all metal nozzles enhanced with micro swiss wear resistance. In comparison, my much more expensive Raise 3D N2 plus suffers from frequent misfeeds and clogging, and chokes on the same carbon fiber and wood filaments that the Guider 2S easily and consistently extrudes. In terms of service, Tan is amazing, hardworking and helpful, never more than 24 hours before a reply. .Guiderโ€ฆ
