Fluval C2 Replacement Poly Foam Pad - 3-Pack Review

This is for C2 Zeo-Carb, not for foam pads. As you can see from the picture what I received is different from the original Fuval C2 Zeo-Carb I received previously. When washing, a ton of coal dust came out. Also not the right size and difficult to get into the chamber. I ended up modifying it a bit to make it fit. If you are promoting an original product, this should be included in the packaging.

This is a direct replacement for the C Series filter pads that come with the filter. They are the same size, thickness and made of the same material. The only reason I took off a star is because a last one is yellow in a section on one side. So I only have 2 pads available. If they weren't so cheap I would probably go back, but it really isn't worth it. They last a very long time, no need to replace monthly bills as instructed in the instructions. Of course this biocarrier is exactly the same as the one that originally came with the filter and it really gets 5 stars for getting so much in the box. I estimate that this is enough for two full replacements of C3. If you follow the manufacturer's instructions (replace half every 6 months), a filter will last approximately 2 years. I bought these thinking I would have to change them often like a lot of new filter pads. But so far I'm still on my first one, I've washed it many times and it's still holding its shape. Since this filter uses a bio carrier, I take a filter pad to my sink and spray it really well with a dish sprayer (or whatever you call a mini garden hose, like wall hung sinks). Just make sure to remove the chlorinated water from it before putting it back in the filter. (I just towel dry to dry a bit)
