Your typical PLA meets all standards

If you've used many brands of PLA, you'll have a baseline of what's good and what's bad. I basically have a center line and it lands right on that line. It prints great with typical settings, bed and nozzle temps etc. I use a 205°C nozzle on the full metal extruder and 60°C on the bed. my average range is 200-210c. I also have 2 other PLA colors from Fused and they are quite different in print options. This is not normal for the company's standard PLA line. However, this one turned out to be…

Good stuff is flexible, needs slightly higher temperatures.

I have ordered fused white PLA to use with my Ender 3 to make various frames for mounting LEDs. The filament is more flexible right out of the box and not brittle at all, making it easy to feed into the extruder. I've used it a lot, so far it seems to require a higher nozzle and layer temperature than typical PLA, as well as slightly slower speed settings. Here are the settings I used on my Ender 3 that gave good results: TEMP. LAYER: 65-70 TEMP. 220-230 SPEED: 40-50mm/s After choosing these…

Completely different properties than Fused Black PLA

I received the Fused Black end spool and it fits me very well. I decided to pick up a white spool to continue with a project I was working on and was very surprised to see how different the two colors are. Even to the touch, this white PLA feels softer, almost rubbery. Print and layer temperatures should be the same, but the extrusion properties are day and night. I was encountering tremendous tension from white PLA, clumps of filament building up in odd places, etc. In some of the detailed…
