Must have for MTB

This is a must for MTB as the Garmin Edge buttons are pretty hard to use with full finger gloves and impossible on the track. However, I'm only giving it 3 stars because the design is mediocre at best. Three buttons, but only one is programmable. There's no reason all three buttons can't be programmed to control all of the Edge's functions. I'm glad it's cheap because I'm pretty sure it will eventually pop out of its little mount and get lost.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

Good option for Garmin devices

I have used this on a Garmin 510 and now a Garmin 520 plus. I love it. I've had 2 screens to cycle through on my Garmin in the past and it seemed to instinctively know which screen I wanted to see and show me the exact opposite. At the same time, I turned off auto-scrolling and can now flip through the pages I need at the push of a button. However, it's far from perfect. Little hooks. When it comes to cycling, I don't know anyone who uses the laps function on their Garmin, let alone has a…

Almost there, but the Garmin misses the mark.

I use this with Garmin 820. Works very well and is reliable. The first click connects it to the 820. The reason I didn't give 4 or 5 stars was because only one of the three buttons is programmable, screen selection, but the ease of use is heavy at the speed and I don't need a circle button. I use 3 screens on a bike. I was hoping to be able to press a button to access each of the three screens I use. Simple and easy. How it works is stupid. You press the side button to scroll through the data…

One or two smart iterations of size

This little remote control won't live up to your expectations. Modern cycle computers have so many functions that of course they have several main screens that you want to switch between. If you can do that by simply pressing the button with your thumb and keeping your hands on the wheel, that's a big deal. This makes the entire computer more valuable. I also see the benefit this will give to touchscreen bike computers. If I can turn pages with thick gloves and perform a few keystrokes with the

Cozy. - GPS, Finder and Accessories

This little device basically does four things: Starts/stops a ride, scrolls through screens, marks circles and shines or navigates to a map (one or the other), not both). If being able to do any or all of these things without taking your hands off the wheel is important to you, then this could be for you. I have an Edge 130 and mostly use the remote to scroll through the three to four screens I use. I use auto stop/start on my Edge so I only have to press a button at the beginning or end of a…

More useful than you think.

I was skeptical at first when this became known. Do you really need a remote control for a device that is normally 15 cm away from your hand? Then I remembered my frustration with my Garmin 810's touchscreen as I drove around trying to scroll through the different screens to get the information I needed. This solves this problem. I installed it on the hood on the inside of the right handlebar where it doesn't interfere with any hand position (drop or hood) I use. The Page button lets me quickly

Exactly what I was looking for.

It should be noted that you have to press any button on the remote control once before each ride so that your Garmin cycle computer knows that the remote control is ready for operation. After that, it stays connected until the end of the ride. I got this remote because I was jealous of my buddy's Di2 with on-screen buttons on his gear knobs. This remote actually does more, with buttons for screen rotation, actions (start/stop and backlight), and a circle button. The onscreen button works very…
