Perfect for cycling

I wore my Garmin Forerunner 305 on my wrist while cycling and sometimes it was dangerous for me to check the data while moving. This bike mount is the perfect answer! It attaches to the handlebars where your eyes can easily see the information on the Forerunner display without having to operate it with one hand. Much safer. The mount itself is plastic, but the Garmin "head" snaps securely into place and is fairly easy to detach. The included Velcro wrist strap replaces the Forerunner's original

Great idea for multisport fans but design flaws

I bought a quick release kit for my Garmin 305. This is a really great idea for those interested in using it for multisport. I really like the Velcro idea but I have small wrists so when closed the strap forms a flap at the end of the extra band. Nothing bad, but a bit annoying. I bought the quick release shoe in June 2010 and have used it for both running and cycling. I have used a quick release treadmill and it works really well. However on my bike it has crashed twice and once during a race.

Perfect! - Car Mounts

This kit includes a Velcro strap with a durable plastic mounting clip. The original parts of the strap are permanently removed using the tool provided, then the pins of the strap are inserted into the 305 body, the pins can then snap into the Velcro attachment or identical part of the bike mount. Removing the device from the bike and putting it on your wrist or vice versa takes less than 5 seconds. did not understand the concept; Velcro straps *permanently* replace the original straps. The only

Good product! good for GPS system accessories

If you plan to use your Garmin for running and cycling then this quick release kit is second to none. It's inexpensive and works well. The wrist strap is more comfortable than the plastic strap that comes with the device. It's very easy to set up. I can only recommend that. Remember, you're removing the Garmin from the plastic strap forever. The kit includes a tool for this and it takes about five minutes. (You can reattach it if you wish, but there's no need to.) Attaching another clip to the…

Very good mount: GPS system accessory

I am a runner who recently switched to cycling. I didn't want to buy a brand new GPS module, so this seemed like the perfect way to make using the Garmin Forerunner 305 practical for both running and cycling. After a few rides on a bike with a handlebar mount, I can say that the Forerunner is really secure on the mount and easy to put on and take off. My only disappointment is not being able to tighten the zip ties tight enough to keep the carry bag from moving a bit on the handlebars on rough…

Easy to use on car mounts

For those who don't know what the kit is, if you plan to use the Forerunner for running AND cycling you will need this kit to mount your device to your Bicycle. You will also need the Velcro strap that comes with the kit. In order to move your Garmin from your wrist to your bike, you need to attach the Garmin to your strap differently than the original strap (like your watch). The kit includes a tool to remove the Garmin from the original. Bracelet. The quick release kit includes both a bike…

Likes to jump out of the mount

Avoid this quick release kit when participating in activities. I lost my Garmin 305 this morning because it jumped out of my wrist strap while I was wearing a jacket and carrying one of my children. Because of the coat and the child in his arms, I didn't notice his absence. So far nobody has gotten past the Garmin. It has very limited usability without a charger so I might return it but I'm very upset that it even showed up. 305 and this running and cycling set. He says that when he runs, he…

Just amazing - wish I'd bought it sooner

This is probably my favorite Revain purchase. I really wish I had bought this a few years ago but didn't know it existed. It's a bit confusing when you look at it, but it's very clear when you have it at home. The small mount fits on your bike and stays there while the strap becomes your new strap for your watch. The tool will help you remove the old strap and reattach the pins to the watch without the strap. The extra contacts are just extra contacts, I didn't need them and now I only have 4…
