Inexpensive replacement hose

Nice radiator hose. The turns were fairly accurate and slid on the woman's PT Cruiser. Having only had it a few months I can't confirm durability but it does everything I would expect from a radiator hose.

Pros
  • EPDM hose; Reinforcement with synthetic fiber; EPDM cap, resistant to high temperatures, ozone and coolants
Cons
  • Mostly OK, but...

Great value for money, Gates quality

Used on a 2005 PT Cruiser. Cheaper than your local auto parts store and good quality Gates. It was the same shape as the one I got out of the car, but a few inches longer on one end. Just place them next to each other and mark the area to be cut off. Then the hose fits perfectly. Recommended for 2005 non-turbo PT Cruisers, but likely to fit many other vehicles.

Pros
  • Conforms to SAE 20R4 Class D2 and DIN 73411 Class A (without approvals)
Cons
  • Disappear

Works after a small 2 " adjustment

Replaced the radiator on my PT Cruiser so changed the hoses while I was there. After moving this hose from both ends, I saw that it was badly kinked at the second bend. Obviously not good. However, a quick adjustment solved the problem, the problem was on the cooler side. For the price I can't complain, it fits after finishing and holds up well. At first I thought I just had a bad position, but after trying several adjustments this was the only solution. The car now runs normally with coolantโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Preformed for perfect seal
Cons
  • Good but not great
