🔥 Gates 23283 Premium Molded Coolant Hose: Unbeatable Durability and Performance Review

Perfect for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Some people have said they need trimming, but in my case that wasn't the case. During work, the mileage is about 400 km.

6 weeks and 940 miles ago I overhauled the cooling system in my Jeep Cherokee XJ 95 4.0L. This hose needs to be trimmed a bit at the radiator so it doesn't rub against the battery, otherwise it's good enough. No leaks, no problems. Thank you

Typical Gates product, fits perfectly without the need to cut like some brands. Additionally, it comes with a split loom as it relies on an AC compressor and the loom prevents chafing. I only buy Gates products and they have never let me down in over 30 years of using their products in every car I drive.

As another reviewer noted I also had to cut about 3/4 inch in length which was most convenient to get due to the crease at the end of the heatsink. Fits right somehow, so it loses at least one star point. Flexes more and sits higher over the A/C compressor than the OEM hose on my 2001 Cherokee Sport. After modification, the hose looks ok and appears to be of reasonable quality. Good price.

As at least one other reviewer has said, these Gates hoses have long legs at the bends. The angles of the preformed bends are correct, only the hose length in between is too long. I cut about 3/4 inch off the radiator end of this hose to fit better, but due to the length of the hose it still rises higher than I would like after most bends. Quality hose except for that and it says "Made in USA".
