Perfect fit for my car!

It only took me three tries to find the right gas cap - who knew there were so many styles? It's threaded, not just two ledges. The first mistake. Different height of the threaded part. Second mistake. Spot on - no fault here, it fits well, bolts on and ensures I can pass the emissions test to ride another day!

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Modern

Not for NB Miata

This cap technically fits the filler neck of the NB generation Miata, but you cannot close the door that closes it. I removed the gasket and put it on my old cap and cured my vaporizer problem so all is good in the end. Whatever I found that suggested it would fit my Miata, it was a little off. Otherwise it appears to be a well-made gas cap, as are the gas caps.

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Operating speed

Not So Good - Subaru Forester 2006 XT

I bought this for 60% less than the OEM gas cap. I've been using it for 7 months but still the check engine light (P0456?) came on intermittently. So instead of dealing with the check engine light and clearing it with an OBDII reader, I paid twice as much for an OEM gas cap. Maybe the gas cap works on other cars and some other Subaru but it didn't work on my car. I would give 3 (or two) stars out of 5.

Works in my 98 CR-V

My 22 year old OEM 98 CR-V gas cap failed the pressure test so I bought this to replace. It seems fairly comparable to the OEM cap and almost as heavy. It's also a similar size and clicks when you tighten it, just like the OEM. And he passed the exam! My CR-V doesn't have a gas cap wire (and this one doesn't), but I bought a gas cap retainer for an older flat-back Civic, cut off the tabs and glued it on with a hot glue gun. Glue it to the inside of the tank door. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • When in doubt

That's gascap.um yes

First of all, this cap worked just like the original. In my case it didn't stick like people say. Looking the other way, actually looking at it, I haven't noticed any change. I have a 2003 Honda Element. If you're the reader I'm assuming you have the same exhaust valve that I have. This lid didn't fix it, but after trying known good lids, I now realize that's not the problem. I know from experience that a new cap can solve your problem. I found the valve to be the problem, but figured why not…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • something different
