Versatile and Reliable: General Tools 1271M Arch Punch for Precise Hole Cutting Review

Installing the roof rack on the car required modifications to the factory rubber gutters. Instead of trying a hole saw like in the video, which leaves a jagged hole, I used this tool and a piece of wood as a support to punch clean round holes. I am very satisfied with the result! I was impressed by how strong and well made it was, but it's WAY too blunt to cut through any type of fabric. I checked it for felt, nothing was cut. Luckily, I have an electric grinder that my husband uses to sharpen his mower blades, so I was able to sharpen them, which works a lot better. I think if you sharpen the edge a little it will be even better. To cut the fabric you will need a knife edge.
