I've used this a few times to punch holes in thin cardboard and it generally works well for that purpose. However, it is not suitable for more than light use. The metal at the point between the bow and the circular cutter is thinner than the Amazon picture and prone to cracking. One side of me broke completely, although if I applied any force to it at that moment, the other side would break as well. Either a thin spot in the metal or a bad weld. In any case, it is at a high stress point in the punch and can quickly damage the tool. Be sure to wear gloves and safety glasses when using this tool to protect yourself in case it breaks during use.
