Looks and works exactly like the original. For those replacing this because of a bad valve in the cap, make it easy on yourself and don't bother removing the cable from the car in the first place. Simply remove the old gas cap from the filler neck, put the new one in, then gently pull on the locking ring and it will pop right out. Do the same to the old gas cap so that the cable is now free on the car and press it against the new gas cap.

If your onboard gauge tells you to check your fuel cap, you may need to replace it. After installing this cover, drive your vehicle as usual without resetting the code or disconnecting the battery. It can take up to 2 full weeks for the on-board computer to relearn the settings and clear the message. For me it took exactly 13 days including city and motorway driving.
