Great Filament, strong and easy to print

I swear by PETG and hands down, hatchbox may have the best. Prusa is nice and all but just isn't as easy to get or worth the few extra bucks. (primarily they only sell if from their sight which means shipping is like 10-15 bucks) Up until now like 12 spools in I have had only minor issues, usually slicer or telemetry issues. It's strong and prints super well. One thing to note is on sheet metal smooth bed some glue does go a long way on first layer.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • May not be compatible with certain slicer software

Great filament good for me

I have absolutely zero experience with PETG, this was my first time. I usually print in PLA.I wanted to give a shot to PETG and went with HATCHBOX as they are my go-to PLA provider.Packaging was the usual excellent experience I have with them: vacuum-sealed roll, no knot or anything. In short: as good as usual.I am a very amateur 3D printer: I never check the variation in thickness of the filament, I mostly use Cura with default settings and my printer is an Alphawise U20. That's for context. I

Cons
  • Could produce a lot of waste material during the print

Much better than previous filaments tried

The print quality was great compared to others and there were no bed adhesion issues. In fact, it stuck so well to the print bed that I had trouble getting it off, however this is most likely an issue with my printer. For reference, I used 270 degrees for the nozzle and 80 degrees bed temperature for the first layer. For other layers I dropped the bed temperature to 70 and did not change the nozzle temperature. These settings do have minor stringing, but once again it is probably my fault for…

Cons
  • Could be difficult to take off the print bed after printing

It took a long time to program this

The hardest part was getting it to stick. I ended up using a sanded piece of Garolite with a PVA coating (20% white glue, rest water), using a foam brush. The plate should be 70c, and make sure your first layer is perfect with a Z adjust. After that, through a lot of experimenting, the temp I use is 240c, 35ms walls, 40ms first layer, solid infill 30ms, travel 150ms.Bridge flow at .8 with 70ms speed (still not a 100% perfect though).Cooling auto fan off, with a min fan of 60% (all 60%…

Pros
  • ‎8.7 x 8.35 x 2.87 inches
Cons
  • Could be time-consuming to print compared to other filaments

This is some good stuff!

This filament was really easy to dial in. Very little tinkering and it seems to print well over a wide range of temperatures. Hairspray may be needed for adhesion.

Odorless, lightweight, heat tolerant, flexible, and highly impact resistant, it’s available in a variety of colors and even a transparent form. Easily print shatterproof designs and prototypes.
Cons
  • Could require more maintenance and cleaning than other filaments

High quality filaments!

I’ve used the PTEG, the PLA, and the ABS they all work great. For me the PLA likes 185°C the PETG likes 240°C I run the same settings on both my printers.I have an Ender 3v2, and the Ender 3 s1 pro

  • May not be very durable or long-lasting
