Great bread knife. Heavy Duty Long Serrated Blade

I like this knife. It was an expensive purchase considering I started baking bread at home to save money and control what goes into the bread I feed my family. But with this knife, cutting bread is so much fun, it was worth it. Long serrated blades cut quickly and cleanly. It does not crush soft bread and does not break crusty bread. And it's so easy to get even slices. Be careful, the blade is very sharp! I love Global knives. It had great nubbed global grip. I am very excited to add this…

Yu Watanabe (founder of Global) was "not a fool with a blade "!

Global is the leader in professional quality knives. A bread knife is forged from a solid billet, so you don't have any annoying gaps where the blade meets the handle and becomes a moisture trap that allows rust and bacteria to thrive. I have several Global knives and have found them to hold their edge better than most knives (with the exception of my carbon steel Kramer knives). Be sure to wash and COMPLETELY dry your knife (including the knobbed handle, which collects oil) immediately after…

-) He cut ciabatta and baguette rolls like butter

This is my first world knife and oh wow! I've had Henckels for years and needed a new bread knife. I've heard that you can get by with cheap bread knives - in my opinion this is not the case. I had my eye on this for a while but bought a much cheaper bread knife which I returned and got this one, the difference between day and night. I wanted to cut a lot of bread, I reheated the baguette for dinner to cut with a new knife :-) He cut the ciabatta and baguette rolls like butter, not to mention…

You guessed it

Professional chef for 20 years, I can easily buy and use any knife in the world. If you are looking for a beginner's knife set, you only need 2 knives. A serrated knife and a chef's knife. This bread knife can be used for soft, porous food. As you might have guessed, bread and tomatoes come to mind. As for the second knife, I would suggest the Global G-48 - the 7 inch, 18 cm Santoku Hollow Ground Knife. After that, your cute little mind will think it needs it :p. So why global? They are…

Make Bread Fear You

I will own my front and center braid. I love Global knives. I have several and they are all fantastic. However, I almost bought this bread knife after easily trimming one of my sisters' French baguettes with a cheap electric knife. I just wasn't sure even a Global product could get slices of bread that thin without damaging the structure. Buying this knife was the right choice. As usual, the weight of the blade feels amazing in your hands. What impresses me the most is that I feel great (weird…

Best bread knife period

I have several bread/slicing knives: Henckels 8" bread knife, Wüsthof 10.25" slicer, 3 versions of Victorinox serrated knives and Global bread knife. All great knives and no one can complain about any of them. I mostly use 20-year-old Henckels for cheese, the rest for bread. I always use a Victorinox knife for tomatoes. As a bread knife, Global easily wins by a very large margin. It also looks fabulous. His teeth are too rough for tomatoes and hard cheese. If you're willing to spend more than…
