This digital meat thermometer is the fastest I've ever used! I can calibrate in a cup of ice water so I know it's accurate. I like that the thermometer is foldable. I don't have any other thermometer and it's easy to accidentally press the buttons and turn it on. This is foldable and eliminates accidental switching on and off. It turns on/off automatically when the thermometer rod is pulled out or put away. Easy to use and has some simple but interesting features that make me happy. It beeps when you get close to the final temperature reading, giving you an opportunity to do something else nearby until you hear the tone. Almost all food thermometers have the same slow rise time, especially when checking large/thick cuts of meat, so with this one at least you don't have to wait forever just to see the numbers on the screen change.
