Small and mighty! good for vise and locking pliers

This tiny little man comes in handy when you need serious power in a small package! This is my third Grip-On pliers and I have never been disappointed. They are firmly fixed but easily removable thanks to a well thought-out design. Premium epoxy finish with no signs of wear after a year of use.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Minor troubles

Wirecutter sent me one but I wasn't impressed with the quality.

I was expecting them to be manufactured to tighter tolerances as recommended but was disappointed. This is a nice little set of pliers and great value for money. Haven't had to drag anything with them yet and will update +/- to reflect my experience while using them.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Good overall but...

I tried to find US made pliers and found that none of them are US made. I found European companies like Grip-On (makes snap-on pliers), Knipex and Gedore. They are great for tight spots, they also have a good bite. Ideal to have in your pocket and still have it handy. It's also nice to hold in hand. Always lubricate the adjustment screw.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Bad experience

This is how locking pliers should be

Grip-On is the best locking pliers in the world. The secret is in the release lever – where the vise grips make you squeeze the lever and the grip-on pushes you up. Doesn't seem like a big deal - until you use it. They are easy to lock and unlock. Grip-On also makes proto pliers, but I prefer the orange and black colors. These pliers are great, easy to use and require multiple models for every toolbox.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Grip-On is an old Spanish company that I believe also makes snap-on tools here in the US. It is important that you handpick the seller to get real quality. I chose JB Tools because I wanted to support a local business here in Michigan. I don't necessarily need a 6" vise, but this is the only product from them that doesn't cost more than $40 and I wanted something good. Arsenal.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Quality tool Made in Spain

I have to admit I didn't need this set of pens as I have a drawer full of other well known brands. I just wanted to try them because of their reputation and I have to admit they are good! The orange epoxy is a little different from the regular chrome finish I'm used to, but I'm starting to like it after seeing its durability. At first I thought it would scratch and peel off in seconds, but it's quite durable and looks good. My favorite feature is the grip release mechanism, which is an…

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Best cheap replacement for old vise

From the lips of those who use fasteners and macs on a daily basis, I can attest that they are of good quality and any gear can handle them. The small size fits perfectly in my pocket and is used almost every day. I kept my old US made vise in a storage box at home. They're made strong, tolerances are tight and won't flex in use, the trigger mechanism has a sleek design and is easy to get used to.

Pros
  • Threaded screw to easily change jaw size
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Made in Spain, excellent quality.

Made in Spain They are very high quality, excellent steel and I really prefer the release handle design to the vise. I mostly use them in the field to hold things while welding or as a last resort to clear jammed equipment. The teeth of a Chinese vise align easily, but this one doesn't. Very high quality product. Another plus, there is no rubber grip to collect grease and dirt.

Pros
  • Heavy duty forged jaws with reshaped teeth for strength and durability
Cons
  • Off fashion

I always have them with me.

I had this in my bag for 1 year and 1 month and used it almost every day. I am a pool man and a motorcyclist. They have saved me many, many times. I got my kids back on the Yamaha chain for a safe return to camp. That alone paid off for them. Can't say enough about them. The waterproof coating is covered and they are fully functional after dozens of uses. None Rust or water damage, even if they are often wet They deal with stressful situations unerringly Made in Spain is written on the handle I

Pros
  • 1-1/8" capacity
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
