Works great - just a little short - but can't beat the price.

I installed a mini-thread with no air duct and needed a 3.5" diameter hole. This attachment worked great with the Makita Roto Hammer. Just apply light pressure and let the drill bit do its job If it was only 1/4 deeper (crown) then I could only drill through one side, however I had to use a longer masonry bit to go all the way through the wall so I knew where to drill from the opposite side In other words, the depth of this hole saw is slightly thicker than a brick.

I was in no hurry to buy this drill as it is made in China, but I was pleasantly surprised by its quality and performance. I didn't have an SDS bit, so I just cut off that portion of the shank with a cutting wheel and installed it in a 1/2" cordless drill chuck. Drilled a 3.5" diameter hole through a brick wall. The hole saw isn't deep enough to cut straight through without hitting bottom first, but if you go as deep as you can it was very easy to chip off/break out the plug and then cut out…

It accomplished the mission!

I was wary because I've never drilled holes in concrete. I bought a Champ ground anchor and needed a 3 1/2" x 4" hole plus a deep hole. This bit has been impressively packaged in individual cases. The included lock washer had to be omitted in my case as it did not allow the screw to secure the pilot jet. I used a 1/2 inch punch I had. I started the hole without the hammer effect. After about 3/4 inch I activated the hammer. I did not seek excessive optimism, and it took me a long time to…
