3 months after purchase, the stainless steel water chamber began to rust on the upper edges. Within 6 months it stopped working completely and what appeared to indicate excessive heat appeared on the edge of the power button which appeared to have failed. I messaged the company two days ago but haven't received anything from them yet. I have now contacted Revain who solve the problem but I do not recommend this product.

I've had it for 6 months now and no problems. The power switch only works when the device is switched off and there is no more water in the tank. That's a good mistake for me :) You can't use a timer with electrical switches. This works with timers as it turns on when connected to a power line. It takes about 4 hours to fill, the water is delicious. The mystery bottle is Citric Acid, which needs cleaning after a few runs. Vinegar works too, but I prefer powder. Overall very happy with it.

This product is essential for anyone who cares about their health. Even if it's worn out from overuse, my way of using it; much better to drink or use the pure water it produces. Cities, counties remember Flint, take care of your health and don't expect anyone else to do it. I can recommend this and other similar products to anyone who wants to drink clean water. I've personally been using some sort of water still for at least 10 years. Would drink tap or bottled water for no money.

We bought this unit because we have very hard water and in winter when I use a warm mist humidifier it requires excessive cleaning due to mineral residue build up. We bought a new humidifier this year and decided to try distilled water from the start, which would have been prohibitively expensive to purchase. I've read LOTS of distilling reviews to keep them from running out of water. I set a timer for about 3-1/2 hours and turn it off. I've had it boil away a couple of times and there was a bit of burnt shit on the bottom. However, a 30 minute soak in white vinegar will solve this problem. The distiller is easy to use and makes water pretty quickly. We made maybe 6 or 7 gallons of distilled water and the water still tastes bad. I washed it with baking soda water and the taste hasn't gone away completely. I repeated the batch and it didn't correct the taste, although there was virtually no offal. This unit looked good when I received it and was easy to set up and use. I typically make a gallon of distilled water a day, so I've made about 180 gallons so far. During this time I changed the carbon filter twice. My current concern is that the interior of the device, which claims to be stainless steel, will have stains and limescale that won't come off, although I do clean the interior before each use.
