🌲 HATCHBOX WOOD 1KG1 75 Black Filament with Enhanced Dimensional Accuracy Review

Probably my new favorite filament. Prints with no problems. Has a nice matte finish. Feel and texture similar to Hatchbox Wood. but black. The smell when printing is the same as Hatchbox Wood. Good.

When it worked, the print quality was top notch, like it was cut by a pro. But I've constantly struggled with adhesion and it's clogged up once or twice (once fully clogged and partially clogged). Personally, I probably won't use it again, but that's only due to the extra care given to each wood panel and not the product itself.

. First the bad - by all accounts Black (like Brown) is much, much more malleable and less woody than the original Hatchbox wood filament (which is very woody in its raw state and is indistinguishable from natural wood after sanding, staining and finishing). Unlike their regular wood filament, once printed it has a kind of hard glaze that sands away with little effort revealing something close to the texture of the original material. Very strange.
