Do not buy. An obvious fake.

No Hayden brand, Chinese fake. The part numbers don't match either. The Hayden box is not a Hayden product. Hayden does not release the 3650-01.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Not sure

Use as a controller

I wouldn't trust this thing to power two fans safely and reliably, but it works fine as a fan controller. I use it to run two 50 amp relays that power my 12 inch Spal fans. 7 months and is holding up well. Will be updated if it fails. The temperature control works well too.

Wrong item in packaging and OEM does not support its packaging

This product was sealed and came with instructions. The following instructions do not install the product as stated. When I spoke to tech support, the tech told me I need to install this in the box or have it professionally installed. The instructions do not say anything about another type of sensor, nor about the need to install it in the block in some cases. He said I was unlucky and had to deal with it. At this point he hung up and gave me no further information, then hung up. Its parent…

Good product, no instructions included

I will review this review after installation but wanted to share my first findings. The included instructions are the label on the actual assembly. More detailed instructions can be found on the Hayden website in PDF format. Despite being sold as a dual-fan unit, it looks like the manufacturer is suggesting that only one fan be attached to it. There are two fan wires, but only one is burned out. The second fan cable has no fuses, and according to Hayden's instructions, you need to add a fuse to

Installed and working *updated Not working

I've only had it installed for a week so far so good it takes a little time to get the right cut in temperature but once it's set it's fine . I placed the temp sensor in the upper radar hose through a nifty little hose connection with a 1/8 NPT hole and pre-drilled threads. Time will tell how long this will take, I will update if and when problems arise. *Update 21st September 1919 Well the relay started not working when I wasn't holding it, I would say it worked for 2 years with no problems…

I had to try them.

They worked quite well while they lasted. Bought two and installed at the same time. One died after four months and the other died after six months. I connected one to one radiator fan and one to another radiator fan. Because cooling fans are known to draw more than 30 amps on startup. I took two to be on the safe side. One fan drew 25 amps and the other 20 amps. Perhaps in the future someone will install them other than under the hood. They get very hot no matter where they are installed. As a

General electrical knowledge recommended

This product was easy for me to install other than missing fasteners but Amazon sent me a replacement free of charge with no issues. But if you don't know much about electrics or much more about cars. I do not recommend purchasing as certain vehicles create certain circuits that can damage this device. It clearly states that most people didn't understand anything in the instructions I see and just installed it somewhere, which you can't do. You will need to test the circuit with a voltmeter and

Think again! for fans and spare parts

I've ridden this thing to hell and back. First I went on a trip to Vegas with my 93 GMC k1500, arrived safely, everything worked fine. I got halfway home, about 400 miles from home, and stopped in the grocery store lot to rest. 10:30 p.m. Suddenly my roommate was stiff, the truck was smoking/smoking. I parked the truck and popped the hood, jumped out, I popped the hood, lifted it 2 inches and the radiator exploded right in my face! Luckily it wasn't opened further, otherwise it would have been…

Two identical errors Hayden 3651

Two unsuccessful purchases. First purchased for a new 1966 Mustang restoration facility - an electric fan was added to a new larger radiator. The relay worked well for a little over a year, then it began to work unreliably. (Hint, 1 year warranty!) I was able to wiggle the relay in the base and get it to work most of the time. Replaced the relay, hoping that helps. Unfortunately no joy in Mudville - no change in work. (Luckily, the new heatsink handled most of the overheating, although I had a…
