This cartridge causes smearing. I've tried the printer's "Clean Head" function twice, both on the normal and on the "heavy" level! That does not work. The cartridge is supposedly under warranty based on the date printed on the cartridge itself, but check the warranty. HP asks you to enter a product number, but the cartridges don't have a product number that I can find, just a serial number, which of course the HP website doesn't recognize. I have bought this product many times, more than 20 times and have never been disappointed. I bought it in advance so I can have it when I need it.
