They are tight-fitting shoes. This might work if the velcro on the strap was completely twisted. While these aren't comfortable shoes, the placement of the Velcro makes them suitable, if not wearable. In our case, unacceptable. I tried adding velcro but it didn't work.

These shoes fit my son perfectly. Being brand new I was concerned they might blister or be uncomfortable at first. They seemed as comfortable to him as a pair of broken boots. He loves them and keeps making me wear them. The shoes appear to be well made and there has been no sign of anything separating or tearing after use since purchase. We are very happy with this product and I will definitely purchase a larger size if needed.

I bought them for my daughter for the summer. They are sweet. But after a day of use, my daughter refused to put them back on because they hurt her legs.

Although they don't seem to be as durable as my oldest son's Merrel sandals, they are a good sandal and a bit cheaper. They are easy to put on and easy to take off with velcro, which will get you out of the house much faster. Definitely recommend!

As others have said. For a wide fit, the tongue feels like it's not big enough. Velcro also runs small. We're at the limit of its capabilities. And my son usually wears standard width shoes.

I really wanted these shoes to fit my daughter. They fit well except for the Velcro at the top. It's too short. We've never had this problem with Merrell shoes so I thought I had a defective pair until I saw other reviews saying the same thing. A bit too tight as some reviews also said but that is what makes the tongue/strap so and not the base of the shoe which is comfortable. These shoes cannot be worn with socks, my son's foot can barely fit in ankle socks. Once I figured it out, I found that the language wasn't broad enough, but that's not a big problem. My son has a slightly high instep and these shoes marked the tops of his feet after he was in them for about 2 minutes. He only wore them to try them on and to go from the living room to the kitchen to look at them. The Velcro was also not long enough to stay closed at the top. These are beautiful shoes, that's why I gave them 2 stars.

These are NOT wide shoes. I bought 2 pairs in 3W and 4W. None of them were wide enough for my son. Sometimes he can wear a regular fit, but a loose fit is better. These could hardly bend. I would not recommend it for wide feet.

These shoes are difficult for a child to put on. When you finally put them on, the velcro on the strap doesn't reach the clasp on the other side, so the strap only dangles when my son wears them.

I ordered size 8W for my toddler. I had two problems with this shoe. First, while the toe box is wide, the rest isn't that wide so I could barely tighten the velcro and it only lasted about half the time. Second, the stitching on the loop covering the velcro ripped when my son first put it on.

This is our second "season" of using these shoes on our 7 and 5 year olds. We do several hikes throughout the year especially in spring and summer and they wear them all the time and they are like tennis shoes but they dry quickly and are cooler than shoes and socks. I toss them in the washing machine between uses and they air dry and are ready to use! I highly recommend them!

My son loves their feel and style and they are great in the water. The only complaint is that they didn't hold their true color for very long in the short time he'd been wearing them so far out in the sun.

Hard plastic shoes that rub on the sides of the foot. They usually like Merrell, but that's not good. Buyers beware, the seller (Shoebacca) doesn't have free returns and charges 1/4 the shoe price to return, and also can't ship back to local Kohls. Not satisfied with wasted $5 or trip to USP store.
