Does not protect the door - DO NOT BUY!

This sliding glass door safety bracket is no good. Once you tighten it as tight as you can, all you have to do is apply a little force to open the door it supposedly locks, and the bar will give. I can't believe this is for sale at Revain. It's a piece of junk!

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • boring packaging

Don't ever buy this.

The thing is absolute useless junk. I have shower curtain rods stronger than this inept toothpick. It's really nothing more than a cheap hollow plastic shower rod that I can easily break in half with my bare hands. You can't even tweak it to make it longer. It's useless and pointless. I'm just so angry that I spent money on this and that it's being advertised as something that actually protects against intruders because it WILL NOT. It won't even wear the shower curtain. Enough said.

Broke in less than five seconds.

This is the biggest cookie I've ever bought. The instructions say to lengthen and twist to make it longer. I did, and when I tested it lightly, it not only fell apart, it broke into pieces. I just can't believe someone designed this, thought it was appropriate and decided to sell it. It's totally useless. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT OR ANYTHING MANUFACTURED BY THIS COMPANY. I could take my head off the mop and make a more useful product than this. I'm not joking. I can't believe we don't have…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

As soon as two pieces of metal fall apart, don't worry.

Box opened, item taken and pulled out. The two pieces separated, and two super cheap and fragile tiny 'pieces' turned out to be the 'mechanism' that 'locks' this thing in place. I couldn't figure out how these now separate parts worked from the mini guide to close it. They weren't on the sheet. On the way to the landfill. I'm glad it wasn't a more expensive experience than it was. Not worth going back (unless I could see the future before it opens). Probably the worst thing I can remember…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Almost never

Easy to use and gives you peace of mind

My youngest is 3 years old, he opened the front door and the sliding glass door and tried to sneak out. The front door was easy to attach, but I didn't want anything that had to be screwed into the sliding glass door. That was excellent. I've had this for a few weeks now. I hold it up during the day and for a guy who's only 5ft 2in tall there was a bit of a learning curve. Once locked it will fall on your head if you try to rotate it. But once properly installed and locked, none of my kids can…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • I won't say anything
