Needed a 'lockable' salt shaker because our often wet weather made our traditional open hog impractical. While aesthetically pleasing, does the lid does not open easily, especially with one hand, resulting in an "open" box taking up twice the counter space. The box also tends to slide across the counter when in use. Small acrylic dots (like bumpers on cabinet doors ) on the bottom helped keep it in place I think the magnetic lid closure system will also make it more user friendly.

I have had several salt shakers and love this one. I was briefly disappointed with the visible screw head, but this is covered and in no way interferes with the function of the cellar. The wood was fine and smooth and the movement of the lid was very smooth. Also, there was almost no gap between the lid and the case, which was amazing!
