Irwin Screwdriver Set, 4-Piece (Model 1948799) Review

I love Irwin tools and this set of 4 is no exception. The kit includes a 3/16" slotted head with a length of 8.5", a 1/4" slotted head with a length of 6.75" and a #2 Phillips head with a length of 8.5". and a 6.75 inch long #1 Phillips head. Tips are magnetic. The rubberized textured grips are very comfortable and offer plenty of torque. Good quality tools will last a lifetime and these are quality screwdrivers.

This set has become my favorite screwdriver set for its simple features that most people don't even think about. The handle is well formed, feels good in the hand and is still easy to clean (no crevices for oil to penetrate). The handle is comfortable, not round so that it does not slip easily, but not square so that there are no edges that can hurt the hand when working. These are very good quality tools that feel good in your hand. The handle is nicely shaped and has a nice texture that prevents slipping and helps when trying to tighten something hard without feeling stuck. I have several other Irwin tools and they all worked fine and got the job done. The larger slotted screwdriver has a hex socket where the shank exits the handle. This handpicked screwdriver set fits (smaller) household screw sizes. Has flat edges for thumb rest. It's comfortable and the grip is excellent. Possibly the best type of grip I've seen on a screwdriver (for my medium-sized male hands), with the exception of Irwin's own "destructive" screwdriver, which has a heavier metal-core grip, which I like even more.
