The size is different from other Jabsco batteries but works well

We used it to replace the battery tank on an old pump board model. The battery is great, works well, unfortunately it has a wider form factor and is a bit longer making it difficult to fit the required tubing into the space and the clamp in the tubing barbs will leak when pressure is applied to it. Got some extra plumbing work. and heat through the hose, but we eventually got to it.

Resetting the boat sanitary pump

Now when I turn on the water for a small amount of water, the pump does not turn on every time. It's pre-charged to 10psi, but I had to push that down to 25 for it to work. Great mod for RVs when docked. Also saves battery power because the pump doesn't work as often. Update from 10 Apr 13, the block only worked one day. The bubble appears to be filled with water. Water flows out of the air valve. Just returned from a long trip I will remove and return to seller. Call Jabsco, they don't take…

Save Space!: Boating and Sailing

Wow! Doesn't matter. Installs in place of existing 2.5 gallon pressure tank. Perfect solution. My pump runs less. I have two heads, a galley and a transom shower. I don't think he would have competed in all of the open ones except for two he would have done. Also a great space saver! Okay, it's been a year and a half and the inner bubble burst and can't hold the pressure anymore. I had to reload the subpoena every 6 months (up to the prescribed 10psi). Now I need a replacement. Your call comes…

The product is as described and does what it promises.

Installed on the Searay Sundancer 400 to replace a similar model. It was a replacement for the discontinued 12573-3000 model. The part was a little different and we planned to install it next to the water pump but it didn't work out. I reinstalled it near the water heater where the old one was. Works great and was necessary, thought we might get through after the old one leaked. It does exactly what it says on the tin, stops the pump. Great deal on Revain and fast delivery.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

Make life easier in your van Plumbing

We spend a lot of time in our van, so we usually sublimate the airspace reserved for the water heater. This creates excess pressure in the plumbing system, especially when you cold start your water heater because you don't want to waste propane or pay for electricity. By installing a battery, we have essentially made the theoretical airspace in the water heater obsolete. No more pressure problems heating up a 10 gallon Atwood water heater from extreme cold. Too bad RV builders can't just shell…

Easy installation, reduced pump cycles.

I purchased this to replace the same model that was already installed on my boat. Installation was easy as I already had fittings from an existing block. The fittings are pressed in on each side and then locked in place with slide wedges. The entire replacement process took no more than 5 minutes. In a new installation you need to find a place to mount the case and cut into existing wiring. This particular block came with a straight fitting and a 90 degree ridge fitting, while the old block had

  • Minor Repairability

Last summer my water pump on my boat failed so I installed a new pump. The new pump created a pulsating flow of water, causing the water to bounce off the sinks and create a mess. He later learned that the correct term for it was "water hammer". After checking my system for leaks, based on recommendations from other boaters, I decided to add a holding tank. I bought a tank, it wasn't difficult to install. I wish I had bought it with my old pump. There is very good water flow now and the pump is

Replacing is easy, but I don't have to constantly replace!

Direct replacement for the previous battery, figured I wouldn't need to reuse the existing quick disconnects. A 5 minute swap turned into an hour of small drips until I installed the (same?) supplied fittings that came with the battery. After using the new fittings that came with it, everything worked great. I've lost 3 of these batteries over the years which is a bit crazy. Cleaning lines with compressed air to winterize a boat never removes 100% of the water, causing it to freeze and crack in

  • Great design

Poor quality o-rings ruin otherwise good product

Received this last week and was able to install it easily. After gathering everything I needed, I turned on the pump and found a very slow drip from the junction of the fittings with the tank through the o-ring. After disassembling all the parts I found that the o-rings that came with the fittings were sub standard. They were scored from a poorly made mold and were really too small for the task. Both of these design flaws contributed to a slow but constant leakage. I only run at 45psi and they…
