The only knife I use

I have been using these knives in the kitchens of foodservice and full service restaurants for almost 5 years. Easy to prepare at home, ideal for occasional cooking, it's a breeze to use like a spatula to transfer food from the baking board to the bowls. I sand the handle with 120 grit sandpaper and rub it with mineral oil. Daily use does the trick and gives it an organic shine.

Even if I have fancier chef's knives. I keep reaching for this

It's cheap but still looks well made. It's super sharp and feels good in the hand. It's cheap enough and where I'm not worried I may damage it by using whetstones on it (still learning). I use a sharpening stick from time to time. I've cut through raw chicken bones and accidentally cooked pork rib bones with this thing, it took almost no effort. I don't know what else to say, this is a great knife and you can't beat the price. Highly recommended. Heck, buy one for the mallet knife.

Excellent quality knives. Very sharp.

This is the first time I have had a knife of this shape. It's very sharp and cuts beautifully. It's a different weight than what I'm used to, so it's a bit uncomfortable for me. I love my Showtime 6star easy slicing and serving that lets you toss what you're slicing into a pot/bowl. You can't do that with this knife, it gets stuck in the cutting board, maybe because it's too sharp. We'll have to see how it behaves in the dishwasher. will it rust? Addendum: Has been in the dishwasher several…

A good size for my general use is meat and .

Very sharp steel blade and decent wooden handle. A good size for my general use is meat and vegetables for my home cooking. Probably not durable or heavy for use in commercial kitchens. The blade feels light and will probably be easy to keep sharp, but I haven't had to sharpen it yet. Great value for money. Warning: DO NOT order from a Thai seller - order from a US seller. I have ordered another pair of the same KIWI knives which have never arrived even after TWO months! The local seller…

I LOVE this knife best in cutlery and knife accessories

I have had one of these knives for almost two decades and am so delighted I have ordered a new one just to be sure always. I was surprised and pleased to find that the quality of the new one is the same as my old one. I almost always cut with this knife, even though I have a very expensive handle knife set. The only thing that's not perfect about it is that the handle finish isn't good enough to keep the wood fibers from rising. This doesn't bother me as I learned from the first that simply…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

This knife has quickly become my favorite table knife. The knife has benefitted from my King 1000 stone and loves the ceramic grinder. Edge retention isn't as good as higher quality steels, but simply grinding with a ceramic sharpener before each use brings the blade back to sharpness and allows me to do the prep work. The shape of the wooden handle is quite pleasant, but roughly processed. It looks/feels much better after sanding and sealing with mineral oil. The blade is thin at the base and…

You can't beat this price.

I bought this knife after a long search. I'm someone who loves to cook in my free time. I cook everything from Mexican cuisine, sushi, Mediterranean cuisine, soups, pasta and whatever else you can think of. First impression: This knife has a thinner blade than some, which made me skeptical at first. The wooden handle has a bit of texture but I like it. When it arrived it was sharp enough to shave my arm. I had no trouble cutting veggies or meat. After months of use: I've sharpened this thing 4…

Best knife for your money, you won't regret it!

I am a pastry chef and have been using this everyday knife for 2 years now. I bought this on the recommendation of a colleague and I wasn't disappointed! This knife is light, well balanced and comfortable to use. I've tried many of my colleagues' knives at different prices and while some were a little better or could be used for more things, I just can't bring myself to spend that much money on a knife. really sharp and held that sharpness quite well over the two years I've had. I can count on…

Good knife for $10

I own several more expensive knives from Japanese forges (Makoto Kurosaki, Toshihiro Wakui etc) and this knife is not at the same level of production, not very impressive steel, it took almost as many hours of work as these. but it's not a high end knife, it's a $10 knife. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this knife. The knife is overall light, the handle is made of light wood with a semi-protrusion design that eventually shifts the center of gravity towards the blade itself, making…
