Overpriced kit that offers little for the money

Although good quality thread and beautiful colors this is a very expensive kit with confusing instructions. It would be cheaper to buy thread, hook and needle at Michael's Crafts for a quarter of the price and watch YouTube videos to learn. That's my plan once I return this kit. But beautifully packaged!

The instructions are good; Yarn is a little tricky to work with for a beginner

I had some issues with yarn control, which from what I've read is quite normal for a beginner. Most recommendations are to start with acrylic yarn. , not cotton which can be harder. The amount of yarn in the set is definitely enough for several projects. I tried a few things (including the stand that I actually use) and then put it aside, but will pick it up again.

It saves my marriage.

I've been saying for years that I wanted to learn to crochet and finally realized that I'm playing with my phone and not doing anything useful - and annoying my husband who wanted good TV time. So... . Now I can fiddle with yarn and make adorable things - hats, whatever. . .I'm very busy so learning with video or without a really good process isn't going to work for me. I didn't even want to buy separate things and make mistakes when buying, so this set has been the most successful. Everything…
