Not at all what I expected

As advertised, "premium yarn with the lowest moistureโ€ along with a well known brand is the reason I decided to purchase this yarn. This was my first time using Kodak filament. The filament lay well out of the box, but the print was very brittle. I thought it might not be as dry as advertised so I dried the thread for 6 hours. The prints were still very brittle and not very smooth. I tried different tempi because I thought they would work best with settings other than those listed. I've evenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • EXTRA-DRY: Vacuum zip bag with silica gel to protect the yarn from moisture and dust.
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Good print quality after drying. There was still a vacuum in the metalized pouch and the filament was still damp when I unwrapped it. Look at the photos. The cloudy part was printed with filament straight from the bag. I heard the filament when printing. I dried the filament on a roll in my oven on a warm setting for two hours and printed the part that isn't blurry in the photos. After drying it is MUCH BETTER. I paid $17 for a 750g reel which is not bad at all for nylon. I bought the pack on a

Patience is the key to success

I was able to print this out of the box after drying in the esun dryer. I used an open printer first, an I3 Mega with a full metal e3d v6 hotend, 250 glue, no fan and 80 on a glass platform. Also with 18 edges. Gave a good print but I had more deformation than I expected. Another thing to consider, I had some kinks where I had the supports, so I'll probably have to adjust my settings for the roof and base there. I waited a few days to receive the case I ordered and installed everything thereโ€ฆ

Pros
  • STRONGEST: High-quality, high-tenacity yarn for extremely strong and heavy components.
Cons
  • Can't remember
