Very good product, suitable for thermometers and timers

This is the second one I've bought and it does the job perfectly. no glass; not difficult to read mercury thermometer; and no more burned fingers. The digital readings are large and do not fog up. If there is one point of criticism, it is the hard-to-reach battery compartment.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick guide

This is the best. suitable for kitchen utensils and appliances

I bought this specifically for making caramel and it's the best purchase I've made in a long time. The thermometers attached to the side of the pot are just a nuisance and won't stay in place throughout the mix. I could read the temperature clearly and stir at the same time without any problems. I love him so much!

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Some problems

Accurate but not immediately readable

Good concept. The shape makes it a bit awkward to hold. This is an accurate but not instantaneous measurement. So if you're working with candy or chocolate, this might not be the best option. By the time the gauge catches up with itself, you may indeed have exceeded the correct temperature. A little pointless when you need a "backup" thermometer for instant reading when you use this one.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

Not entirely accurate or waterproof

I put a new thermometer in a pot of boiling water to check accuracy because the lozenges I make are very temperature sensitive. In boiling water, the display reads 210.5 degrees Fahrenheit or 98 degrees Celsius. That will be fine, but I needed to know how much the final temperature of the food needs to be adjusted. It's also not waterproof, so be careful not to throw the thermometer in the dishwasher. The thermometer part of the device must be washed manually.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Negative 5 stars in kitchen and dining room

I bought this for making candy. This is an exact science, in many cases the temperature cannot differ even by one degree. This piece of junk couldn't even measure boiling water accurately. I put it in boiling water, already boiling water. I'm not exactly sure how long I put it in boiling water because I got tired of waiting for it to reach 212 degrees. It never happened. He got to 205 and stayed there for about a minute and I gave up.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Doubtful

Good buy for tempering chocolate

Bought for tempering chocolate. It's not an instant read, but it's a lot better than my original (non-digital) candy thermometer. Cons: The shape of the handle makes it difficult to stir for long periods of time, and cleaning the bottom hole that houses the base of the thermometer can be painful (I have to use a toothpick to remove all the chocolate that's stuck in there). gets stuck when I wash.) That being said, I like that the thermometer slides out of the spatula and can be used separately,

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is fine

I really wanted to love it!

I saw this in a YouTube video of a woman tempering chocolate. Thought. My God. I must have it! I just started making cacao bombs and didn't want to ruin my chocolate! Used for the first time. HEAVENLY! The spatula part is not thin or weak. It's pretty tough (she said) and really cleans bowls effectively. The second time the thermometer does NOT work! BOOO! But. it could be my fault. I do not know. Maybe washing his hands scared him so much that he didn't want to use it anymore? Who knows. In…

Pros
  • Waiting for
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
