Very important. good for shock absorbers

After my first ride, this is the best $40 I've spent on my '65 Mustang. Along with the export strut, these shocks greatly improved my ride. You know what happened after several trips.

These shocks will improve your handling

These shocks changed the handling of my 1965 Mustang coupe. The movement is confident and smooth. I can also ride on bad roads without feeling the suspension sag. Feel free to get them. Installation was very easy and the hardware was correct and well made. I installed (front) in about 30 minutes without lifting the car. I wish I had done this a long time ago.

Shock absorbers are worth the trouble

Don't think it will be a simple screw in the project. The clearances are such that very small fingers and wrenches are required to fit washers and nuts to the underside. When the Mustang was on the jack stands, the suspension parts dangled when fully extended. I had to use a pry bar to get the top into position to bolt it on, but once the Mustang was back on the ground everything seemed to work fine and handling improved significantly.

Missing parts! suitable for shock absorbers, struts and suspension

A simple and useful project. I replaced both shocks within an hour or so. It was very straight forward. The only thing I would recommend is to make sure you have a jack under the lower control arm to raise and lower it as needed. HOWEVER, both shocks I ordered were missing hardware. They should come with four grommets, two washers, two lock washers and two nuts. One of the shock absorbers was missing two rubber bushings and the other was missing a lock washer and nut. Luckily what I needed was…

Wow, what a difference to my '66 Mustang! Highly recommended!

Wow those shocks are great! They went so easy on my '66 Mustang. On the old ones, we first remove the upper nut, unscrew the strut, then jack it up, fix it with stands, remove the wheel, unscrew the lower nuts and take out the old one. Simply reverse the process to put on a new one. If you remove the top nut before lifting the car, you don't have to lift the lever. The driving difference was big. They are the same as OEM and half the price you would pay for that brand at a major auto parts…
