Weird Instructions: Replacement Parts

If you're doing it yourself, you probably understand the need to properly align the bracket with the post. The instructions said to replace the strut, not replace the bracket on the strut.

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Some cons

Good but not great. QC is missing on this product.

I ordered two of these with the same item number. One came with 14mm nuts. The other had 15mm nuts. There were two camps in one box. Makes me think about quality control of other aspects of KYB products.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not bad

The metal bearing ring was dented and scratched. The rubber in the bearings looked like someone had taken sandpaper and thrown it in the mud. When turning, pieces of rubber flew out of the bearing. And one of the bearings rotated much harder than the other. I have ordered a replacement. The replacement…
