Poor quality but works

We bought these to secure our hives to the base of the hives in inclement weather. I am a kayaker and have a lot of these straps. These yellow ones are made of very thin material; I don't expect them to last long. The buckle is the cheapest metal and I expect they will rust quickly. Meanwhile, they go about their work. Just not the best quality, but we don't always need premium materials, do we?

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Slightly dented

I mean, sun exposure destroys them pretty quickly. I had about two months of use before they started breaking with normal tightening. I would say that after 2 months in the sun they lost 90% of their strength. But they are so cheap that I just bought a new pair and now I change them more often. However, I wouldn't trust them on the roof of my…

Strap broke after a month of use

I bought these because the set I had to tie to my ladders was wearing out after years of freeway driving and direct Texan sun driving. I bought my original set on eBay from a seller in China and it has lasted much longer than expected. Since my original straps came from China, I figured any old strap would do. Boy was I wrong. When I first used these straps I knew they weren't of the quality I expected. The strap itself was so stretched that I ended up stretching at least a foot or two when I…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Slightly torn
