LOSTAR Valve Cover Left - 1999-2008 Cadillac GMC Pontiac 12570427 (with Gasket & Bolts 264-965) Review

Looks like it's doing the job so far. Easy installation. I heard the 07 6.0L had a bad valve cover from the factory so I replaced it with one of these and it fit like a glove!

Had a "normal" trigger start due to a faulty crankcase breather built into the cover. Why bother with that when you can just change the cover and that's it. Best price of all other providers I've looked at. USA product, another plus. It was nice that as shown in the picture the lid, hardware, bushings and gasket all came together rather than having to purchase all of these parts separately. No more smoke when starting.

After years of intensive oil consumption, I heard about a defective valve cover on the driver's side. Recently just replaced the gasket and attempted to modify the factory cover I've heard about with a drill. Well it made the problem worse due to the extra smoke on startup. I often buy OEM but it has no moving parts and has great reviews and is less than half the price. I'm glad I did. I do not smoke anymore! Time will tell but I suspect oil consumption will be a lot better too.

I don't usually write reviews but this time I felt the need. If you have a 07-08 Chevy Silverado and you notice oil burning and exhaust smoke when you start the truck, this will solve the problem. GM redesigned the PCV deflector to prevent oil from entering the intake manifold through the PCV and this product features a new design.
