Best of the best PLA

I started printing five years ago and have used many types of filament since then. Polymaker PolyLite PLA remains on top and I order this all the time. What I like is that the quality is top notch and the yarn is less brittle than other (even expensive) yarns. I can leave the filament in the printer for two weeks without storing it in a sealed box and (e.g. on vacation) and it doesn't tear and still prints great. That saves me time. The price is great, $25 per 1kg, very reasonable as of…

Great product but don't leave it in the extruder at 50C for a week

This is one of the best filaments (True Blue) I've ever used on my Lulzbot Mini. One thing I had trouble with was that I stopped printing for about 2 weeks (I don't know how that happened because the printer rarely stops for more than 2 days) and left the printer on for about a week. The hot end stayed at 50C unbeknownst to me. It looks like with prolonged exposure to heat it turned into a piece of plastic that won't melt at 300C (but will soften a bit). I had to pull it out with pliers after…

Prints very well - 3D printing consumables

I have to admit that I bought this filament just because I liked the colour. This is Lulzbot's "signature" color and I have a TAZ 5 of this. I usually use ABS because it's supposed to be more "in the sun" and friendly. I was a bit worried when a browser had problems. Earlier I wrote that I used PLA with the same settings as ABS without any problems. It was 240/110. It didn't work this time with the same settings. The initial layer looked "melted" and not very good. Another reviewer for this…
