Simple and durable external accessories

The design is simple but strong. High-quality workmanship, good instructions, easy and uncomplicated to build 2x10 wooden ramps. It is recommended to use the kit's metal bracket as a guide when drilling the stud boards and not freehand. This will give you a nice 90 degree hole. I added non-slip tape for traction and 2x4's on the bottom of the board for extra durability. I haven't used it, but it looks like the doctor ordered it.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Worked great: Exterior Accessory

I used this to take my little lawnmower on and off a 1999 Ranger. I removed the back door and drilled holes in the edge of the bed. I didn't want to drill holes in the top of the trunk. I painted the holes with anti-rust paint to protect them. I used 2x8 inch boards and cut the ends at an angle to the ground and a solid 45 degree angle to attach the ramp kit. The rails did not move during installation or removal. Easy to assemble, just don't lose the metal pins!

Great product for outdoor accessories

I have a flat boat with a trolling motor that I use for backcountry work. Because a lot of the lakes I visit have unpaved slopes and the water level is pretty low. I use the ramps I built from these surface strips to launch my boat. Even though I have a winch, these slides make it easy enough to unload and load my boat by hand most of the time because it slides so well. They were wider than I needed for my purposes and cutting with a circular saw was a daunting task which showed this to be a…

Functional, durable

I am very happy with these ramp supports. They are durable and safe when fitted as directed. Unlike many other products today, the instructions are clear, although detailed instructions are not as necessary for this ramp kit as for other items. A good drill and a wrench are all the tools you need to attach them to the wood. There is a good table in the manual to guide the length of the board for the difference in height between the floor and the truck bed. The supplier even includes foam pads…

Very cheap alternative

I bought this kit so I could load my '92 Honda 750 Nighthawk into the back of my F-150 (which has a very tall tailgate). I used 10ft long 2" x 10" and shortened it to 8ft and used the other 2ft for reinforcement by bolting it down the middle. The bike weighs about 550 pounds, neither the aluminum end nor the board flex at all. I was only able to use one of the aluminum parts but it couldn't work better. It's a lot smarter than buying an expensive metal ramp because it's a lot cheaper and a lot…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Can't remember

Fits me on truck bed and tailgate accessories

I just built ramps with this kit and am impressed. Using the best 2x10 parts I could find at Home Depot, I was able to build two strong, sturdy ramps in under an hour and use them to load my Troy Bilt 17.5hp lawn mower into my pickup truck. Since I don't plan to move the lawn mower often, I'm glad I didn't spend the money on custom metal ramps. The ends of the ramp appear to be aluminum. The processing is very high quality. The kit includes all the hardware to attach the ends to the tree. The…
