Did exactly what I wanted

I only have this for the purpose of being able to do basic maintenance like adjusting the front and rear derailleurs to make sure everything shifts properly. This works great with my Trek FX 7.1 bike which uses 700x35c wheels. One important thing to remember is to make sure your wider feet are pointing towards the front of the bike, otherwise the rear derailleur may be restricted and you won't be able to shift into the smaller rear gears. SO EASY TO INSTALL: With the bike standing alone with…

Does the job

M-Wave Folding Bike Stand does exactly what it says on the tin. I have a bike without a kickstand and I'm tired of leaning my good road bike against other things in the garage. The stand came with no instructions and at first I couldn't attach it to my bike. I couldn't figure out how to put the stand on without hitting the switch. Finally, I attempted to attach the stand to my bike by lifting the stand off the ground. I jacked up my bike (to keep it stable and off the ground) and attached the…

Perfect if you know the secret

This stand is perfect if you know the secret to quick and easy bike assembly. Here it is: For the first time, think of another way to secure the bike while setting up the stand for the first time. Gently tug on each side. Lean the bike against you and use the kickstand each time. Using both hands, rotate the stand so that it is parallel to the ground (not vertical when in the normal position) and place the stand on the rear axle. Then loosen the kickstand, slowly lift the rear wheel of the bike

The stand is best for indoor bike storage

OVERVIEW: Pros: - Great for the price - Lightweight and compact - Folds down small for easy portability - Holds rear wheel - Allows indexing gears and general maintenance - even set up and pedal for quick bike adjustment (if you're heavy, be sure to add extra supports just below the wood/PVC pipe hangers). Cons: - Not very stable/planted. If you live with clumsy people and they hit him, he'll fall pretty easily. You can fix this by making the base wider with PVC pipe or something similar. Some…

Great stand for small repairs and tweaks

I would like to point out that I ordered this a few months ago when it was on sale for $15.49 and am writing this review with that price in mind. I don't know if I would pay almost $25 for it like it's worth it now. Other than that, it's a really nice little stand that you can use to fix the bike up a bit - adjust the rear wheel, adjust both derailleurs, adjust the rear brakes. Is not this enough? I can't stand my bike on the ground because of the handlebar accessories (it can get damaged) and…

Great for light maintenance

I'm giving 5 stars minus the caveats knowing it wouldn't be perfect out of the box but it was the right price. I bought it to be able to do some light maintenance on my road bike from my relatively small apartment. I don't have room for a serious bike rack and wanted to be able to clean my chain, work on my derailleur, spin a wheel, etc. This works great for this simple job, especially since it's crumbling. .As others have said, it doesn't work very well with quick releases, but does work less…

Nice little bike stand at a great price

I bought this to store my bike indoors without scratching the wheels, wall, handlebars and neighbor's dog. So how does this thing work? Well, not bad to be honest. Pros: cheap. Metal (but not cheap metal). You can customize it for your bike - up to 700 cents). Can be used as a work stand for a variety of jobs (as long as you don't need to remove the rear wheel), although some bikes may have derailleur interference (mine works fine). Same diameter otherwise it will sit flat on the stand which…
