Awesome Brakes - Sport

These are amazing brakes. I drive them diligently and every time I stop for a penny. They work fantastically and are incredibly profitable.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Safety

But they grip well.

Pads move in the caliper when braking. The hole in the shoe is oval and larger than the bolt that holds it. Do they make pads with a round hole that is narrower?

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • A few small things

love the brakes! fits disc brake kits

love these brakes but stumbled on the bleeding process. There is not much good information about these German brakes. Mine (moment of call) was when I discovered the caliper disc was too thick, once I reduced the thickness of the disc progress was made.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • very expensive

Loved these brakes, bought

I have a custom 2010 Epic Comp 29 that had dual piston brakes and 160mm rotors. I have now replaced the front brakes with a Magura MT7 with a 220mm rotor. I've seen some people complain about the brake lever feeling like plastic but it feels nice, it doesn't feel cheap and I prefer the aluminum grip brake levers I had on my bike. I plan to switch Back Break to the same set soon.

Pros
  • Lasting test results
Cons
  • Requires socket

IT SEEMS LIKE STOPPING A TRAIN CAREFULLY.

Can't say enough good things about Magura brakes and they are no exception. The bite and reach settings are extremely easy to use. The entire system is lighter than most of the competition, and the sense of modularity is impressive, not the on/off feel of Shimano or Sram. The master and caliper are connected and pre-bled. Magura uses an interesting system that allows you to disconnect and reconnect, route and then reconnect a line to the master without having to re-pump the system. I was…

Pros
  • An absolute legend

Easy install, huge upgrade over stock disc brakes

I bought this as an upgrade to the stock brakes on my Specialized Camber Comp Pro 29". Formula C1's have always been stock disc brakes and I knew there were far better options After reading various reviews I decided to go for Magura MT7 Pro disc brakes with matching rotors. If you follow YouTube guide on how to install without bleed everything will work very smoothly.Take your time and work in one Area where if you drop something you can find it quickly Make sure you have all the parts you need…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Has defects
