Great price for a great product

Great price for a great product. 20€ cheaper than in the auto parts store. Ordered late Saturday evening and already there Tuesday. Reliable packaging and worth it if you can wait.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Don't forget RTV

Perfect fit. No leaks. Be sure to use RTV (black) on the four corners of the cylinder block that connect to the front and rear covers. These surfaces were uneven on my Avalanche by about 1/16th of an inch, so without the RTV I'm sure they would eventually leak.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Expensive

Not in the Mahle package. Made in USA

Not in Mahle packaging, did some research on this major brand and couldn't determine if it was a Mahle brand. It is made in the USA. The package was in rough condition, shipping and handling need improvement. I would get a refund but just before fitting I need my Avalanche 07 5.3 to go.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Requires outlet

04 5.3 Cottage work

I put it on my suburb 5.3 when checking the engine. After 13,000 kilometers of driving there is no leak. I'll update if it leaks. And I did a terrible job putting the liner on the areas that needed it when I put the pan on the block and I just lost my balance and smeared it all over the place.

Pros
  • All the best!
Cons
  • Not the best

Doesn't leak, good quality.

I was surprised by the excellent quality and the price. The time consuming part was removing that pallet on the 4x4. as of October 2014, no leaks have yet been installed. Note that the two rear long bolts on the back of the oil pan should be torqued to 18 pounds, just don't tighten them any further. The GM parts department had the wrong computer specification. even though they fixed it.

Pros
  • High quality workmanship
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

A solid piece of metal, unlike the Felpro and AC Delco!

I returned the Felpro and AC Delco units because the metal part is in two or three parts that are attached together. This grinder is a solid piece of metal, which means it's less likely to warp and leak. I have a 4x4 and it's not an easy task and it's funny that these big brands sell oil pan gaskets with a basic multi-piece design. Cheap.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Unsure
